LSU In London
Summer Study Abroad
The LSU Academic Programs Abroad Plan offers undergraduate and graduate
students opportunities to earn six to nine hours of credit through a summer
study session in London. Theatre courses are often included in this program;
and, over the past ten years, theatre majors, minors and non-theatre students
have earned credits and enjoyed the cultural treasures of Great Britain.
During the annual six-week summer session (from about July 1 to August
15), course work is supplemented by field trips to manor houses, palaces,
castles, gardens, museums, and cathedrals. Students as a group always
attend theatre productions in the West End and on the stages of the Royal
Shakespeare Company and National Theatre.
Theatre majors who opt to go on the LSU in London program are awarded
partial scholarships whenever possible to support their study abroad.
Inquiries about the London Program should be directed to the director,
Dr. Les Wade
