Twelth Night Inspired Play
About Loss and Hope comes to the LSU Studio Season
Post-Hurricane Louisiana Performance Piece to be Presented
at the Famed Edinburgh Fringe Festival
Based on Twelfth Night, Unrequited sets Shakespeare’s timeless romance in a post-hurricane world of displacement, loss and separation, where it is still possible to find hope, promise, and love in a brave new world. The company of LSU students and faculty has created a remarkable new physical theatre piece based on the classic story of a shipwreck and the resulting confusion in a gripping tale of courage and integrity.
Unrequited is the final show in the 2007-08 LSU Studio Season. It was conceived of and directed by LSU Department of Theatre Assistant Professor Nick Erickson. This summer, the company will join artists from around the world at the famed Edinburgh Fringe Festival. This festival is the largest and most renowned event for the performance innovative theatre productions.
Unrequited performs at the Hatcher Hall Theatre on Fieldhouse Drive on the LSU campus, and runs from April 29 to May 3, 2008 at 7:30 pm and on May 4, 2008 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Tickets are $6.00 (CASH ONLY), and can only be purchased at the door.
