Wendy Sanders
Costume Shop Manager
holds an M.F.A. in Costume Design and Technology from Brigham Young University and a BFA in Theatre Education from Utah State University. Prior to coming to LSU, Wendy was Assistant Professor of Costume Design at the University of Louisiana in Monroe. While at ULM she received the ACTF Award for Excellence in Theatrical Technology for her work on the production of Quilters. Wendy was also awarded a Louisiana Arts Council Grant for the study, teaching, and construction of Restoration costumes and wigs for ULM’s production of Tartuffe. Formerly, Wendy taught high school theatre, serving as director, technical advisor, and Performing Arts Department Production Manager. She has designed the costumes for many productions including, Arsenic and Old Lace, Little Shop of Horrors, An Ideal Husband, and A Midsummer Nights Dream. While in Boston, Wendy was the resident makeup artist for the American Repertory Theatre, as well as a guest makeup artist for Boston Ballet and Boston Lyric Opera.
